Aromatherapy and mood improvement … How can aromatic scents affect your mood?

Several studies have proven that aromatherapy has its own effect on the nervous system, as aromatic scents contribute to improving mood significantly, increase the feeling of psychological comfort and relieve stress whether you are at work, at home, or even in hotels and airports … In short, aromatic scents have the effect of caffeine on the body anywhere and anytime.

In this article, we will address the effect of aromatherapy on mood and how to use them to create a stimulating and productive environment in daily life and work, and we will also review some experiences of Novarom  customers  and studies that have been conducted by several international universities.

First of all, let’s know what perfume is  ?

It is a group of synthetic and natural preparations that are integrated with each other to produce fresh and sweet scents and is formed in several forms, either liquid or fatty, where alcohol and aromatic stabilizer are applied to it and are placed on the body or clothes to remain for long periods

What is the link between perfumes and the senses?

The links between perfumes and the senses  are numerous and complex, due to the effect of smells directly on the nervous system, especially through the sense of smell. Here I will tell you the different links:

:

Sense of smell:

When inhaling  a specific scent, the aromatic molecules travel through the nose to olfactory receptors, which deliver  signals directly to the brain, specifically to the limbic system, the part of the brain responsible for behavioral and emotional responses.  Scents  can therefore evoke certain memories or evoke specific emotions

Effect on taste:

Although the sense of taste depends on the receptors in  the  tongue, the sense of smell plays a big role  in the taste experience  and  smells  are often a big part of how we sense the taste, which is why food can lose its taste when a person has  a  cold.

Impact on touch and sight:

While fragrances have no direct impact on the senses of touch and sight, scents can affect how we perceive the environment around us.
